Grobag Sleeping Bags Information

The multi award winning Grobag Sleeping Bag has been responsible for changing the way that UK mums and dads put their babies to bed. No more kicked off covers, no more getting tangled up in loose bedding, and no more worries about slipping down under blankets, Grobag Sleeping Bags give babies and their parents a safe and peaceful night's sleep. Working closely with FSID (The UK's leading cot death research charity), every Grobag Sleeping Bag comes with a free nursery thermometer and comprehensive usage instructions.

When To Start Using Grobag Sleeping Bags:

An ideal time to start using Grobag sleeping bags is when your baby weighs more than 8 lbs 8oz (0-6 mths size). It is very important to check that your baby’s head cannot pass through the neck-hole when the Grobag is fastened for use. Please remember that these are recommendations only as all babies are different.

Grobag Sleeping Bags are available in 3 Sizes:

0-6 Months / Minimum Child Weight 4kg (8lb 8oz) / Maximum Child Length 68cm

6-18 Months / Minimum Child Weight 8.1kg (18lb) / Maximum Child Length 86cm

18-36 Months / Minimum Child Weight 11.4kg (25lb) / Maximum Child Length 98cm

Choosing Which Grobag Tog To Use:

A tog measurement is a European warmth rating: the higher the tog, the warmer the product. Grobag sleeping bags are available in the following three tog ratings:

2.5 Tog All year round (For Standard Nurseries of 16-20C)

1.0 Tog Perfect for summer & daytime naps (For Warmer Nurseries of 20-24C)

0.5 Tog Ideal for holidays & heatwaves (For Very Warm Nurseries of 24-27C)

What to wear under Grobag Sleeping Bags:

What your baby wears will depend on the tog of Grobag Sleeping bag and the temperature of the baby's bedroom. (In the same way as you would adjust nightclothes and number of blankets). As a guide, please refer to the table below. Please remember, though, that babies are all different and, just as with blankets and sheets, you will soon discover what your baby is most comfortable wearing. (Placing your fingers on your baby’s chest is the best indicator of whether they are too hot/too cold/just right as babies’ hands often feel cool.)

16c - 2.5 Tog Grobag with a Long-sleeved bodysuit & sleepsuit/pyjama set
18c - 2.5 Tog Grobag with a Long-sleeved bodysuit & sleepsuit/pyjama top
20c - 2.5 Tog Grobag with a Long-sleeved bodysuit
22c - 1.0 Tog Grobag with a Long-sleeved bodysuit

Using Your Grobag Sleeping Bag Safely & Correctly:

If your baby shares your bed, make sure he is only in a Grobag Sleeping Bag and not under your own bedding as well
